The Bible has been worked on for longer than any other book. Around 1500 BC, Moses started writing the biblical texts. Other holy scripts were added after 443 BC, when Nehemiah and Malachi finished their books. Then, there was a pause for almost 500 years, during which no biblical books were written.
The Apostle Matthew wrote his historic story around 41 AD. John, the last apostle, wrote his Evangelium and three letters around 98 AD, thus finishing the biblical canon. You can read more about the Apostles of Jesus here.
So, all in all, the Bible was created in a timeframe of approximately 1600 years.
