Zoom webinar in English: «The History of the King James Bible» by Pål-Espen Tørisen
28. januar 18:00-19:00Gratis
This is the colourful story of how the English King James Bible (1611) came to be, and eventually became, the world’s most printed and widespread book. We walk in the footsteps of pioneers John Wyclif and William Tyndale through the English Reformation until 1611 – and then follow this unique Bible edition all the way to our day. On this global voyage, we also take the time to stop by a royal wedding in Oslo at the end of the 16th century.
The lecture is presented by Bible collector Pål-Espen Tørisen.
Important information: The presentation will be on Zoom Webinar, a service for seminars and other public events online, where only the speaker will appear and be heard. None of the participants will be visible. After the lecture, there will be a questions and answers session. The talk is free of charge.
